HONA describes its gel systems as vegan, cruelty-free and formulated without HEMA, HPMA, IBOA or TPO. Products are designed with a focus on performance and ingredient transparency. No gel product can guarantee an allergy-free treatment.

How can I book an appointment?
You can book online using any Book Now button, which takes you to our Fresha booking page. You’re also welcome to book or ask a question directly through WhatsApp.
What’s the difference between gel polish and builder gel (BIAB)?
Gel polish adds a lightweight, glossy colour to your natural nails. Builder gel (often called BIAB) is a thicker, strengthening overlay that adds structure and support to natural nails and can help reduce breakage as they grow.
Are your products HEMA-free?
Yes. We use professional HEMA-free products from HONA, chosen with care for their quality and performance. Please let us know about any known allergies or sensitivities before your appointment.
How long does a manicure usually last?
Gel polish and builder gel manicures typically last around 3–4 weeks, depending on your natural nails, lifestyle and aftercare.
Can I book a builder gel infill if another nail technician did my nails?
Please get in touch before booking. We’ll need to consider the existing product and condition of your nails; in some cases, a full removal and fresh application may be the best option.
Is there free parking?
Yes. Complimentary, off-street private parking is available for clients.
Are you insured?
Yes. Refined Nails by Hellys is a fully insured nail salon.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, children are welcome. We simply ask that they are supervised throughout your appointment.
Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately, pets cannot come into the salon due to allergies. Thank you for understanding.
